Bogotá.- Colombia realizará un millonario gasto en defensa en los próximos cuatro años debido al conflicto armado interno, y no para entrar en una carrera armamentista con los países vecinos, afirmó el ministro de Defensa, Juan Manuel Santos. Ese presupuesto lo aprobó el pasado lunes el Consejo Nacional de Política Económica y Social (Conpes) para la política de seguridad democrática del presidente Álvaro Uribe que busca derrotar a la guerrilla, el paramilitarismo y el narcotráfico, destacó AP. ver más>>

BOGOTA, Colombia (AP) -- Investigators have exhumed the remains of 14 victims of paramilitary violence buried in a municipal cemetery in northern Colombia without proper funerals, authorities said Tuesday. Manuel Hernandez, chief of the federal criminal investigation unit for Sucre state, said investigators believe 29 bodies were illegally buried in this fashion from 2001 to 2003. ver más>>
